		<description>The post just stated the Jetta got better highway MPGs than a Prius. No one was bashing the Prius and obviously since both of their MPGs are close the Prius would have cost less to fill up given the higher cost of diesel.</description>

The Jetta has a 14-gallon gas tank.

The prius has an 11-gallon gas tank. 

That&#039;s why the Prius needed to fill up at 570 miles.

The Prius actually beat the Jetta during that trip for fuel costs, considering that diesel cost $4.65 on average while regular unleaded cost $4.05.</description>
